April is the month to celebrate,

Poetry writing is what we initiate,

National Poetry Writing Month it's called,

With creativity and words so enthralled.

Thirty days of verses and rhymes,

A challenge for writers of all times,

To produce a poem every day,

And share their art in every way.

From sonnets to free verse,

Haikus to odes, let's immerse,

In the beauty of language and thought,

As we weave stories that can't be bought.

So let us embrace this poetic quest,

And let our souls be truly blessed,

For National Poetry Writing Month,

Is a time to inspire and be spent.
